Our Super Bowl ad gets approved. See it plus rejects here. ABC makes us an offer we can't refuse.ABC has made us an offer we couldn't refuse. This afternoon we received a phone call from ABC and were made an offer we couldn’t refuse. We were asked to give up position 6b for something that is supposed to be better. Prior to the call we had two ads set to run in spots 6b and 22b. ABC gave us the opportunity to move the ad from the 6b slot, to a free floating stand-alone 30 second spot that will show by itself. We will have the only stand-alone spot in the first half. Normally, ads are shown in pods that include three commercials. By agreeing to allow ABC the flexibility to broadcast our commercial sometime in the 2nd quarter (and maybe even in the 1st quarter if we’re really lucky) we would get to have our commercial air without the distraction created by competing commercials. As I understand it Go Daddy will have the only stand-alone 30 second spot in the first half. Check out the approved ad and all our rejected ads. We have made available the chronology, with accompanying video and storyboards, of the steps we’ve taken to get our ad approved. As you will see by reviewing the chronology, we made 13 submissions which were all rejected. For each rejection we’ve provided a video, a storyboard or a screen shot. You can also see the approved ad here. You can be the judge if any of these submissions actually go too far. To see the time line with the videos and storyboards, click this link: www.godaddy.com/gdshop/superbowl06/timeline.asp Of course there will be an Internet-only version. On Super Bowl Sunday, we plan to also make available a special Internet-only version of our approved ad. As is our custom, the Internet-only version will be lots of fun and definitely "GoDaddy-Esque." How to see any of our commercials.
