3rd time's a charm.  We get a Super Bowl ad approved.  See the 2 rejected ads here.

I am pleased to announce that Go Daddy now has a commercial — approved by CBS — that will air during the Super Bowl.

It only took three attempts.
This year CBS rejected the first two commercials we submitted – a big improvement for us over last year, when we had the thirteen commercials rejected by ABC before we had one approved.

The approved commercial will not disappoint.
In order to get our commercial approved by CBS, we had to make a number of adjustments. Even though we made these changes, I’m confident that Super Bowl viewers will still find the approved commercial to be GoDaddyEsque (i.e., edgy, innovative and slightly inappropriate). In fact, I think the approved commercial will go down as being one of the best we’ve ever done.

As always, there will be an Internet-only extended version of the approved commercial.

See both rejected commercials now.
I’ve decided to make available the first commercial rejected by CBS. There’s no doubt that this commercial is a bit hot. However, it’s been approved by a number of cable TV stations.

Here are links that will allow you to see both of our rejected commercials.

Please let me know what you think.
After you’ve had a chance to review our commercials, please take a moment to post a comment to this blog article letting me know what you think.

Go Daddy in the news.
Go Daddy has received some good exposure on national TV during the past week. In case you missed it, I’ve included links here that will allow you to see those mentions.

To see Go Daddy on The Insider, please click here.

To see Go Daddy on Inside Edition, please click here. Note: Inside Edition incorrectly identified our first Super Bowl commercial which aired in 2005, as being the approved Super Bowl commercial that aired in 2006.

To see Go Daddy on Street Signs, please click here.

But wait, there's more!
We also have an Internet-only extended version of our second rejected commercial, which we call "I own you." It's made up of out-takes and scenes that didn't make the rejected commercial. I think it's certainly good for an "extended" smile. Look for that to become available in the not too distant future.

I'll be at the Maxim Super Bowl Party!
If you subscribe to Maxim Magazine, you may have noticed that Go Daddy appears in a 4-page spread in the February issue of the magazine. As part of that arrangement, our original Go Daddy Girl Candice Michelle, Indy Car Racer Danica Patrick, Harley-Davidson Drag Racer Valerie Thompson and yours truly will be attending the Maxim Super Bowl Party this Friday in Miami Beach. During the party we will meet with the Teutels from Orange County Choppers and unveil "The Go Daddy Chopper."

See Go Daddy on "American Chopper."
The making of The Go Daddy chopper will air on episodes of The Learning Channel'sAmerican Chopper on February 1 and February 8th.

I've got a hot radio show this week.
On my weekly podcast and radio show I've got an especially good line up. Candice Michelle will be in-studio to help me interview Maxim Magazine's senior editor and well-known ad reviewer Barbara Lippert, who in her 2006 Super Bowl ad review referred to Go Daddy's ad as the "lowest of the low" — which I actually thought was quite an honor! :)Life OnLine airs live on Wednesday at 10 PM EST. If you miss the show live, you can always listen to it by going to LifeOnLine.com. You can tune in to the show just about any way you want (i.e., XM, Sirius, Internet, RSS to your iPod, etc.). To find out how to listen go to LifeOnLine.com.

Excerpt: I've learned that someone has registered the domain name ihatepercywalker.com. The site currently sits parked at GoDaddy.com [Update 2/1/07: It's now a blog]. For the time being I'll make no effort to determine who is behind this registration, but as whoever is behind this considers what he or she plans to do with this domain name, I hope he or she also considers that I will be attending the Maxim Super Bowl Party this Friday in Miami Beach with CEO and Founder of GoDaddy.com, Bob Parsons. Candice’s Super Bowl Commercial. Watch it here!
