I am 61 and have aintained 130-200 domains on our site at any one time for the past 4-5 years....
thanks for making the discount club possible...and thank you for making my experience watching your video blogs fun...

no if only your could make any easier and faster layout for reviewing mass renewals —- like setting up the rewnal period for this session at 1 year, and then check the block of those you want to renew and press submit..,..why cant it be that easy?

Bob, you are my HERO!

I love your style. What else can I say. Bravo and keep up the good work.

I also think you have the BEST tech support team in the industry. Everything about GoDaddy is top shelf.

Thank you for all you have done.

I enjoyed the blog, and agree to hating the networks.

I also noticed the NCO sword above your head.

Bob,

I appreciated getting to see you in streaming video. Now I can say I don't think your still picture does you justice - it's kind of scary looking. In your video, you seem much more relatable.

I just signed up for a domain name after watching the Indy 500. But after looking into it more, I've decided I made the mistake of sending my money with a company that does not appear to have the same standard of values that I have. I won't be renewing my subscription when it expires. Why do you feel it's necessary to be so blatantly sexist and gross? Anything for the almighty dollar, right?
#6 Sheila Hinson on Jun 4 2008, 14:50 Reply
Hey Sheila. I suspected the same thing when I signed up with Daddy a few years ago, but now I see the real humor and real support Daddy gives to women. I always watch for a slip, yet I have never actually caught one. Relax, you are in good hands here, very professional company, and the sexy overtones are all in good taste and in good fun. Too funny this material is labeled mature content, that must mean I am super-mature, lol.

Awesome! the networks are just busybodies on this one, although i cannot disagree with the "parental supervision" disclaimer. You are an innovator and you continue to out maneuver most of the rest of the world. Congratulations to you and Danica and the GoDaddy team on your racing successes!

Your april video blogg is dead on. Keep it up. Now that Danica has made a bigger name for herself after the indy 500. ( I would have enjoyed a good old NASCAR style butt kickin by Danica, and I really think that she would have taken them all) Go daddy needs to market that. How cool would that be.
Cant wait for my site to be up and running
Good luck,

A great advert Bob - and as mild as they come indeed !... If the internet was as tight on standards as the network sensors, then we would all still be in the dark ages and computers would not be here at all !!

However as to the disclaimers and your statement about kids getting 100 % Supervision when Online - I couldnt agree more - bout time the world started to use its head on this one instead of blaming every1 else when some1 gets burned!!

I just wonder how many of the network sensors supervise their own kids surfing habits!! ;)

Bye 4 Now & keep up your enjoyable blogcasts..

".TV" is better than a beaver! Nice job implementing some of the marketing opportunities by providing engaging and informational content. Bob Parsons TV is now a great candidate for Dot TV on Demand, but there is still much more to be explored. Genius is to know today what will be obvious tomorrow; while televisions are becoming wireless with Bluetooth devices and seamlessly merging with the Internet, and web sites are pieces of software compatible across technological devices/supporting multiple languages, other technological corporations will be waking up to the possibilities of Internet Television Broadcasting whereas other corporations will prosper through Dot TV and Internet Television Broadcasting. Good luck in all your future endeavors, congratulations on your many recent successes, and continue to keep an eye out as we set a “new benchmark” in this industry.

GoDaddyConnections.tv sounds like another good opportunity.

The ads and commercials are getting some attention and now my nephews who know I
market online ask me if I use godaddy. Which
I do and very satisfied with. I just keep up
with what that age group is following and
thought it worth noting they remembered
the godaddy ads.

"Edgy" as a definition of your commercials is a misnomer. Erotic, suggestive and treating women as objects, not persons. Wonder what all the women who work for GoDaddy think about this continued objectification as sex objects rather than persons? Do you have the nerve to ask them?
#17 Ken Soper on May 5 2008, 04:46 Reply
These commercials makes your firm look foolish. They say nothing about the quality you offer.
#18 James Bailey on Apr 27 2008, 06:51 Reply
Hey Bob,

All the disclaimers the network is asking for will disrupt the flow of this terrific ad.

A few suggestions:

1 - Why not have some kind of banner behind the kids in the opening shot with the name of the fictional race, thereby avoiding any confusion with an actual event? Then you won't need a disclaimer.

2 - Why not have the little girl's father standing behind her as she's buying her domain name, (or have her standing behind her Dad as he's making the purchase,) and change the script to read: so MY DAD got me a cool website from Godaddy for my fans and sponsors, then he built me a hot cart....
Then you don't need that disclaimer.

3 - Ask your ad guys to think this stuff through before spending your hard earned cash!!!! (something tells me there might be some Stooges in that bunch, too....)

And last: BOB!!! Could your next Godaddy ad kick of with a bunch of guys sitting around playing guitars??? If so, can I help ya work on it?

LOVE YOU!!!

I have been wanting to developing a web site and a more detailed marketing plan for months and have been too busy selling product. After Damica won in Japan I was reminded about Go Daddy and reserved 13 sites. Great front person, and my kids can look up to her, or at her for the boys side of the family!

Looking forward to seeing her again in Indy! OUr home town.

I have a biweekly TV show on FSN AZ called Motorsports Mania that airs Sundays @ 11:30 am and with your involvement in motorsports I would like to invite you to become part of our family. I work closely with jack Roush and would like to profile your interest in motorsports as well as the new P51 you just acquired.

Great blog.

Please ask Danica to reconsider apologizing for crying. I cried for her, too. So did you, I imagine.
#24 Vicki Sims (www.cyacpa.com) on Apr 21 2008, 14:00 Reply
Dear Vicki,

Like you I think Danica shouldn't apologize for crying. But it does show what an absolute class act she is.

I however, while very excited to see Danica win, did not cry. Please understand that being a man and a former Marine no less, I have issues expressing my emotions — at least that's what the women I date seem to tell me. :) This being the case, it's probably only right that I apologize for NOT crying.

You forgot to mention the fictional 1st amendment to the constitution. I am experiencing problems myself in placing Google AdWords ads. They don't like my URL claiming it contains an offensive word & yet if you keyword search you'll find tons of so called offensive words in Google ads. I believe that over the next 10 years the 1st amendment will disappear & witch burning will become popular on pay per view along with gladiatorial to the death matches. Such a conundrum!

I'm disappointed with this commercial. The best racers are clean racers. Danica knows this - as well as most others in the hobby/profession. (Been there, done that.) Not mad, not angry, but as a true fan (dirt, Kart, stock and higher) and a member of the racing community I am disappointed. An excellent setup and track time makes a true champion. Women are trying so hard to be equal in the racing community. Been there, fought that.

Sincerely,

Mr. Parsons,
I want to say two things. I appreciate your company. I have worked in the Music Retail Industry for almost 30 years and have been working at my present job with the single largest music store in the country (Chuck Levin's Washington Music Center) since 1993. I have dealt with every manufacturer in the industry which is literally 100's. I say all of that to say this, I have never, in all of my years, had better customer service then what GoDaddy provides for their customers. I have no idea what you do to make them be so effective, but it works. For that you get my lifetime award for excellence.

Second, the 501c3 non-profit I have founded (IFI Music) is dedicated to the support, promotion and unity of the International Independent Music Community. We are young as a non-profit, but experienced in years. BUT, as they say, you are never too old to learn. Is there any way you might be able to check out our site and help us out. We are legitimate and have just opened our first extended IFI Music Chapter in Canada. We are based out of Silver Spring, MD. We need to raise money, but have no money to do so. It is the age old story of non-profits. Our immediate need is to get finances together to pay for some liability insurance so that we can do some live independent music showcases.

I know I am small as a customer, outside of IFI Music, I own some domain names and am working on some other ideas pertaining to Independent Music, but you run a smooth and well oiled ship in which I have great admiration of you for. Please, see what you can do for us.

Take care,
Ken Wingate
President and Founder

I don't think it's unreasonable what the network is asking for, and neither does Bob. While the majority of us might feel our intelligence insulted by those tiny little warnings on the commercials, you have to remember how many other people are out there.

Last time I talked with an educator who was up on her polls, the average reading comprehension in this day and age where we have so many people going to college...is still an average of 9th grade. A little note isn't for the "rest" of us who can tell the difference, it's for the young children and those of below average intelligence which the networks realize are also watching.

Bob knows this, and I bet it's one of the main reasons I he agreed with the network about the changes ABC asked for.
