What the hell is wrong with you? If your life was a movie, you'd be the bad guy. The corporate pig that sticks it to the little guy and laughs.

You suck. GoDaddy sucks and I hope you get your just desserts.

After watching a few of your videos it became clear that you were going to find a way to get that sweet thing into the super bowl one way or another.

You were on a mission from God. lol

Sex is what life is all about, if sex didn't exist I wouldn't need no stinking Domain Names.

Next step is to start your own sitcom called Godaddy Girls.

Great clips, while everyone is checking out her chest your name is becoming a house hold word.

I think your commercials are a nice change from the rest of them out there. If I need to be shown that GoDaddy is a hosting site for all 30 seconds, my guess is I wont even know what hosting is. So, in turn, I'm glad you put an ad out there that gives us GoDaddy customers both the pleasure of seeing our favorite host, and a creative ad to boot.

The last few years have had a downslide of SB commercials, and you all(GoDaddy) are one of the few who stay true to making the SB the best 4 hours of commercials on TV all year. I miss something like the bud bowl though... Maybe next year we can have a slew of GoDaddy Girls and have the GoDaddy Bowl or something.

Anyway, thanks again for the great service. I truly do wish you all the best for making my hosting needs worry free.

I love what you've done with the Super Bowl spots. Forget what all these old-timers have to say about the relevancy of some harmless, although EXTREMELY SEXY T&A used to sell domains, ect. It sparks curiosity which is always good for business.

Ok after reading all the comments I have to post myself. For anyone saying Bob should hire an outside ad agency, I ask the question why? Clearly his own in-house ad campaign worked extremely well. It was on every news channel and every site on the internet that is worth taking a look at. To anyone I know, that's called free advertising. So to Bob I would say job well done sir. And why isn't anyone complaining about any other ad's shown during the SB? How about the ad in the airplane where the women winds up in a guys lap after turbulence? Her shirt is open and she is straddled over him on his lap, chest right in his face, in his mouth is a cover for his eyes that make it look like a gag. Sex sell's everything people, welcome to 2006 and enjoy your short stay on planet Earth.
#13 Chuck Brewster on Feb 5 2006, 19:28 Reply
OK, I know nothing of you — missed all the fuss last year, too. But your ad this year made me come to your site to see the "see more" as promised. Unfortunately, nobody's home. How can you spend all that money, direct people to your site and have NOTHING OBVIOUS on your home page. What a huge disappointment. What a marketing blunder. Fire your agency. Fire yourself. Another marketer talking only to themself.
#14 paula on Feb 5 2006, 17:44 Reply
I kind of agree with Paula, get me to your sight and then not have even a small taste of what you are trying to sell Very big disappointment. Most everywhere gives some kind of DEMO. What exactly is it, your ad/commercial alluded to a sight, but where's the DEMO???

Bob -

Pretty much all funny offerings and I find very few offensive. Seriously, I don't know what the network was thinking - except maybe they didn't want the repercussions of the "costume malfunction" to be flung by something you put out.

My only suggestion to each of their denials would have been to substitute a BLONDE in there - see if the hair color would have made a difference! ;-)

Thanks for the laughs and smiles and I can't wait for the internet version tomorrow!

Cheers!

Venessa is probably a little upset that the superbowl is going to cut into her watching "Desperate Housewives" this week. We all know that sex sells. America is full of brand names, and add godaddy to that list. Brillant marketing move again BO_B.

Still a satisfied customer,

Dear Mr. Parsons,

Your Super Bowl advertisements selling sex rather than domains was extraordinarily unimpressive. It appears your target market is teenage adolescent boys interested only in girls and football. While no longer an adolescent I still appreciate both. However, your advertisements are a continuation of the dumbing-down of our culture and will only help you lose customers like myself. What a terrible waste of resources while you brag that you can't even have a toll-free number in order to keep costs down to pass along to your customers. Rubbish!

Yikes! I didn't realize my GoDaddy payments were going to fund this garbage.

You have all this money and all this success. You run a great service. You could be making the world a better place. Do you honestly think the world needs another ad focussed on a woman's breasts? Do her breasts really have anything at all to do with your services?

To be clear, I have nothing against breasts. I am gazing at a very nice pair right now. But what do breasts have to do with domain names and web sites and email? You just come off as a company that needs to rely on women's breasts to sell your products and that's just sad.

Bye bye GoDaddy. It was nice while it lasted.

DON’T BUY THE SECOND SPOT! This year’s approved ad will not have the same impact as last year. Last year you had the element of surprise. It was sexy and funny, a totally different caliber commercial. This year your ad is boring in comparison, political. You spent all this time and money figuring out how to scoff at the network, when you should have been focusing on providing your customers with entertaining content about your service. That chick is your brand; the people want another cool scenario with her. No one cares about your networks battles. What Marketing/Ad Agency consulted you on this direction?
#19 Vinton Moss (http://www.vintonmoss.com) on Feb 4 2006, 14:28 Reply
I know sex sells, which is why the one that got picked is on. I liked some of the others, with the guy in bed and the girl screaming, even the horses head is better than 'boob's only shot. But......it will sell, even though I hate that you have to sell like that.
On another note, I like the company, and LOVE the MARINE CORP BIRTHDAY EMAILS!!! We are former Marine Corp ourselves and enjoy those every year......now those are good professional communications!

Thanks for letting me share.....

Just another idea for you Bob. What if you "hosted" commercials "not approved" by ABC next year on the Godaddy site.... All produced by Godaddy Productions of course (at 1 Million a pop??)

With "tame" commercials to be the norm during future superbowls. it would appear there would be a market for such content. Currently it appears you are by default an alternative (which is a good thing!).

By 2009, the average household will have internet tv's. So during the superbowl one could program their IPTV to have the "unedited" commercials play. Kind of like a TIVO for commercials...These "unedited" commercials would be again hosted by you. (seize upon your market position)

just thinking out loud....

p.s I'm looking forward to the "unedited" version

Wow, congrats, Bob. What on earth do this girl's boobs have to do with domain name registration services?

I don't get it. You're happy to insult half the domain name registrars (women) as well as corporations who can't afford to be associated with "hostile environment" web sites. Who is left? Horny guys?

Y'all have a good time with each other. The women folk are leaving.
#22 cpmtr on Feb 3 2006, 22:09 Reply
Dear cmptr,

Actually the vast majority of the women folk as you call them are staying. According to our surveys over 88% of those watching our commercials are just fine with them. Most of the rest don't really care.

#22.1.1 mkorpi on Feb 4 2006, 16:10 Reply
Well my informal survey of men and women in my living room at the moment tells me that smart people (you know, the ones who register domains, build web sites, run IT departments, own companies) don't want to be associated with a company whose advertising is based on a woman's boobs rather on the company products and services.

To be clear, everyone in this room has registered domain names with GoDaddy and had good solid service. And every one of us are leaving. Just because we like football it doesn't mean we disrespect women.

You have great service. Why do you have to insult us with this crap?

Bob,

Nice promo! I will hope it will do you very well so you can keep giving us your very low and competitive prices.
I also hope tons of new visitors will be driven to your site and bizz so they also can experience what great 24/7 support, friendly and helpful people on the phone, can do for there business.

Please ignore all these people that are saying they can do better or you should have done this and that.
Most people forget that if you need to spent 20M on a promo done buy a fancy agency the prices will need to go up.

Good Luck from a new and still very happy customer.

P.S Where can I buy that T-shirt the Godaddy girl wears? I am sure it will look great on my girl:)

YOU GOT THE BEST AD RUNNING...EASY TO SEE AND UNDERSTAND!

I think the best AD is running, the one thing that Ad folks talked about from last years and NOW this years is the Old fellow and the oxygen mast. The so called "Sexy Stuff" with the model is just the set up and the new approved ad is FAR MORE a Madison ave. quality ad with the Gentleman. The point of getting "Blown away with Godaddy" is just in the mind of the viewers in the other ads....in this ad and last year the cast including extras is what did the trick for me and I think for ABC. Now you have a story and a tie in and the "over talked about Sexy girl" is the cause not the effect of the ad....I think!!

James Bobbit (Jim Bob)

FOOTNOTE: The rotating single spot is the best thing yet so people will now find out one way or the other "What is a GoDaddy"?

It's hilarious how serious people are taking this. I hope millions find the ad offensive and in poor taste and your sales go through the roof!

What a bunch of overly-sensitive soccer moms we have become. How sad. How pathetic.

Keep the fake boobs coming and remember, there is nothing better than a smokin' hot chick and being able to say whatever the hell you feel!
