I agree that during the Super Bowl there is no place for ANY ads that show provocative behaviour ie, obviously well endowed women getting sprayed from beer bottles being held at everyones groins..... while she dances like a strip club dancer, all she needed was a pole. ANYthing that when it's over my kids are saying things like, that was embarrassing, or making them uncomfortable. Why can't they all be decent clean ads? There are CHILDREN WATCHING. ALSO, why do WE have to be the ones to have to go to the trouble of shutting off our television? That is rediculous! For all you sex starved sex maniacs who feel the need to get hard ons during a football game, go buy some porno mags to keep next to you. We don't have to be exposed and should not have to constantly turn our t.v. on and off so YOU can have your little sex fixes.
Typical Bob Parsons, outspoken, out of the ordinary and outstanding - What better way to get advertising?

Stay away from Stern he is Posin. I have noticed a decline in the sweetness of this girl from the 1st Super Bowl commercial. This was very obvious when she was on Leno. Your going to loose it if you don't stop letting her hang out with the likes of Stern and Heffner.
Candice doesn't hang out with either person. True she will be on the cover of April Playboy but she doesn't hang out with Mr. Hefner. As he's in his 80's I understand he no longer has any "bullets in his gun."
How do we get a poster of the go.daddy girl? We would love to proudly display her (and your company) on the wall of our IT company - especially since all our clients have go-daddy accounts (per our suggestion). Will there be a poster?

The add did just what a good add is supposed to do. It got your attention. It made everyone remember godaddy. I had never heard of godaddy before and it got me to look on this site to find out more. I would like to say to all, a job well done and I found nothing wrong morally or otherwise with any of the vidios not allowed on TV. She is a very beautiful young lady and my compliments go to you all.
I thought you could have made the commercial better by not having thoughts read out loud ("it was the straps." If you don't know the humor, explaining the humor makes for a very bad ad. He could have simply explained to GoDaddy Girl the problem with the wardrobe and the reason for their decision, asked that GoDaddy have their world famous support staff test the wardrobe and you could have had guys dressed in tank tops trying to break the straps loose at the office.
I thought the car wash ad was much better.
Anyway, if people choose to not do business with GoDaddy because of the morality of GoDaddy commercials and you care about not upsetting those customers, seems like it would be safer to stick to the humor aspect of wardrobe malfunctions and not so much the sexiness of it.
Love your services and prices. Keep it real. Thanks!

There are plenty of resources to learn to make brand progress. I just thought I'd add my comments about the superbowl ad. I'm a GoDaddy customer, and I've been reconsidering my account since the decision to incorporate sex as a selling point. This really disturbs me. I wish your company could sell its services based on the merit.

Dear Jeffrey
In an open society such as ours, I often wonder about people who are so intensely concerned about what is displayed on television. As a person who believes in personal liberty, I believe that it is the right of a company or an individual to put whatever they want on TV. By the same token, individuals have the right to press the "off" button on the remote control.
When one group attempts to control the actions of another via "moral" arguments, we all become victim to censorship.
Other than using an attractive actress we didn't use sex to sell our products in the Super Bowl ad. Instead we used parody - a parody on censorship.
I would appreciate if you would tell me, and be as specific as you can, exactly what about the commercial you found too sexual. Was it the fact that we used an attractive actress? Was it the fact that she was well endowed? As you look at the commercial I will point out that nothing inappropriate was exposed, and she was mostly filmed from a distance.
All this stuff about messages being non-existant and all that stuff, sure I love Yahoo! and the branding behind it, but what message does it give off? Its fun. Why can't GoDaddy be?
The ad wasnt meant to be interesting, it was a skit and a laugh and took the punch out of the previous years fiasco. Can't you people lighten up and just appreciate that the ad was simply a hot girl with nice cleavage plugging a company that sells domain names.
I for one think its great because as someone who has been working in this industry for years, lots of people forget about the fun elements of the net and focus on giving out about silly things like this.

What a lot of buzz you've created, Bob! Your ad was mentioned on our affiliate forum and already we've had more 1,500 extra visitors to our site who were trying to find the "go daddy commercial".

Candy Michelle is totally gorgeous. She's the next Ali Landry, the next Catherine Zeta Jones. What a find! Congrats, guys! Don't let the prudish bluenose censors hold you down. Viva la beautiful brunette!

This was the BEST commercial during the Super Bowl and even had my mother laughing. If this ad is banned from a footbal game then the cheerleaders need to be taken out of the game also. There is definitely a double standard working here in the NFL.
Used to love godaddy. Went to the trouble and cost of consolidating all of my company's domains here. Looking for a new registrar right now... amazing how you can take that awesome opportunity and sell out for some twisted exposure. Some call that genius marketing, but you just lost a good chunk of prospects who will always remember having to practically lie to their kids about what the "accident" could have been...
The Commercial was Great. There was nothing wrong with the ad except what Fox was charging for a 15 or 30 sec spot. Everyday local tv including fox have shows that there content is far beyond what your ad had. Its all a lost cause. They all should concentrate on the sports players that abuse drugs (Thats What Kids Watch And Consider Them Role Models). I didnt buy any service from you after the superbowl but I have 44 domain names with you and enjoy the excellent service. Hope you receive compensation and more for loss of advertising!!!! Thay should have objected to the ad before the ad setup. Contact Me To Post Your Banner On My Sites. Thanks
It’s absolutely amazing how addictive reading through this blog actually can be! I meant to come on here and look for a post that I did (to see if it got censored!) and over two hours later, I STILL find myself here! I gotta do SOME work today! Thanks a lot Bob… (And yeah, Bob censored my previous post and suspect he’ll censor this one too eventhough there is nothing worthy of censoring, right Bob?)
Can you tell us how the ad did? Can you give us any type of feedback on the performance of the ad itself? Discussing the ad's content is fine and well, but some of us would like to know how it did from a business perspective.
Being an Iowa girl and a newcomer to godaddy, I was excited to know there would be an ad for godaddy during the Super Bowl. It's encouraging to see Bob P., another Iowa native, doing so well. But I'm so sorry you felt like that ad was the best way to gain attention for an extremely valuable and affordable service. You certainly gained attention, but how do I promote my family based web site with a godaddy logo on the bottom when your ad representation is so far from the family values I want to promote? Not sure I can...Please reconsider future advertising.

Anyone who thinks the Superbowl is a "family friendly" event is fooling themselves!! Just look at any of the so-called "family" shows that Fox airs and you'll see violence, violence and more violence. The Go-Daddy ad was funny and tongue-in-cheek. Those who find it "offensive" should join a Convent and stop watching any TV at all. I find feminine-product ads offensive, but, don't start a letter-writing campaign to Congress everytime one airs, I mute the TV.
Kudos to Go-Daddy for having a sense of humor (it goes perfectly with the company name!) and for not being afraid to push the envelope. It was one of my favorite ads and Fox is just stupid to pull the longer one. But, in fact, they did you a favor. The publicity is worth even more than their outrageous ad fees!
A site all about Miss GoDaddy, Some very provacative pictures and yes of course the godaddy pics and video
She is a very talented model/actress and looks great in all her pics too. Caution Some pictures contain nudity if you are offended by nudity do not go to www.missgodaddy.com

Great ad and even better exposure on Howard Stern this morning! I've been on godaddy for a couple years now and it's great to see it thriving.
Keep up the good work!

I would rather have my kids see and hear the godaddy commercial than explicit sexual ads for cialas.
I once had over 20 domains with Network Solutions, but I quickly move them over to Godaddy.com as they expired with Network Solutions. You can't beat Godaddy's Price and Service. I love the Ad and before it even aired, I knew it would be a beneficial controversy. I admire Bob Parson's business sense. Good going.......Great Ad... Great Business move. This is what I call "Branding".
